New Regional Chancellor

Sophia T. Wisniewska has been named Regional Chancellor for USF St. Petersburg.

Wisniewska, chancellor of Penn State Brandywine since 2005, is a scholar of Russian language and literature with extensive experience in key leadership positions in the Penn State System.

Hundreds of middle school girls from Sarasota and Manatee County schools learned about exciting career opportunities at the fourth annual Girls STEM Summit presented by USFSM in May. The free event offered a full day of hands-on activities, speakers, breakout sessions, raffle prizes and more, all geared to getting girls fired up about science, technology, engineering, math and medicine.
